A place so dark, of death did reek.
Held captive to evil, in every thought and deed.
Of life itself I did despair.
Far too real, was this living hell.
Then my Saviour God did shine.
Through the black clouds that had me blind.
By His great love He leads me on.
Till this race is finished, and I am Home.
